OUR STORY

Vector & Raster, LLC arose from a desire to help small businesses look and operate better online. Our goal? To share the stories that often get overlooked and prove that small business means big business.

Madelaine Pierce

Owner & Operator

After spending more than a decade of my marketing career working intimately with a wonderful collection of non-profits, small businesses and start-ups I realized there was something missing.

So many small businesses I work with needed—and so desperately deserved—a brand identity that creates as much impact as their mission. What if the void between want and need could be filled, with resources that provide quality, beautiful results at accessible prices?

Vector & Raster, LLC now combines the skills of design, technology, and thought with a team hyper-focused on breathing life into small businesses across NC.

After receiving a Bachelors Degree in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations from East Carolina University, I grew an intense passion for graphic design, content development, digital marketing and communications.

I have been honored to have had published works featured within in Northwestern Mutual’s Creative Living Magazine, Independent School Magazine, Mother Earth Living Magazine and UNFI and a rewarding freelance career for over 15 years.

Storytelling also makes its way into my life as a homeschool mom of two, creative pursuits in impressionist watercolors and charcoal portraits, and an outpouring of creative writing.

The meaning behind the name

The name Vector & Raster comes from the digital design formats we use in graphic art, because the urge for creative expression is why we started, and the reason for what we do.

vector | vec·tor | /ˈvektər/ points on a plane, connected by lines and curves to create stunning illustrations

raster | ras·ter | /ˈrastər/ grid of square pixels that collectively compose captivating digital images
